GUESTMIX#81: vvonn [Saigon Collective]

The 3rd PAYNOMINDTOUS release is on its way! We’re beyond excited to present the first excerpt out of ‘Crawling, Still We Fight‘, debut EP from the producer and DJ from Brescia, Italy vvonn. Releasing April 2nd 2021 (#BANDCAMPFRIDAY!), the record is now up for digital pre-order for 1€, and it will be available for pay-what-you-want download after its release.

Producer and DJ stemming from Brescia, Italy, vvonn (he/him)  is a resolute specialist inside the present-day drum and bass scene of the deepest 85/170 BPM fringes, heavily inspired by dubstep’s hefty bass and clanging industrial sounds. Born and based in a city that reveals to be no more than a ghost town when it comes to club culture, he relentlessly perseveres on his path by means of the affiliation with the local Saigon Collective crew he co-founded, noticeable outlets on seminal mix series in the field such as Vykhod Sily, and his now-releasing debut EP. Have a listen at vvonn‘s contribution to our GUESTMIX series, spanning 1 hour in length and featuring halfstep tunes, old-school jungle, industrial, and much more. Push the button!

We are a non-profit organization registered in December 2018, operating since late 2015 as a webzine and media website. In early 2017, we started our own event series focused on arts, experimental, and dancefloor-oriented music. We reject every invocation to “the Future” meant as the signifier for capitalistic “progress” and “innovation”, fully embracing the Present instead; we renounce any reckless and ultimately arbitrary division between “high” and “low”, respectable and not respectable, “mind” and “body”; we support and invite musicians, artists, and performers having diverse backgrounds and expressing themselves via variegated artistic practices.
