Paynomindtous e Bunker sono entusiasti di presentare il secondo PAYNOMINDTOUS_Fest, Venerdì 9 Giugno ’17 nello spazio di Via Niccolò Paganini, Torino. Sottotitolato ‘Future Paths’, il 1-night fest ospiterà 3 set suonati da 4 artisti attentamente rivolti alla ricerca e all’incorporazione nelle loro produzioni e selezioni di nuove influenze, stili, ritmi ed immaginari. Il trevigiano Xen Stream, membro dei collettivi Dirtmor, Enklav e della crew di Quarto Mondo, propone futuristiche visioni iper-digitali in cui si ibridano grime, jungle, forth world techno e bass music. Le stesse influenze sono rielaborate anche da Von Tesla avvalendosi di synth modulari suonati live, dai quali sgorgano patch di precisione chirurgica e suono cristallino che costruiscono ambientazioni ipercinetiche deancorate da ogni dimensione spaziale predefinita. L’inedita configurazione back2back di Osiris e Sonia Garcia, infine, farà propria la tradizione UK hardcore, quintessenziale esempio di calderone culturale, contaminandola con squarci di musica urbana latinoamericana, quali reggaeton, triple paso, cumbias villeras, e molto altro ancora. Anche in questa occasione l’obiettivo ultimo sarà la Festa, escludendo ogni velleità di etichettamento aprioristico e autoghettizzazione / autodiscriminazione di genere, passando sia attraverso istanti di ascolto attento e intima partecipazione che momenti di ballo sfrenato.

PAYNOMINDTOUS is a non-profit organization registered in December 2018, operating since late 2015 as a webzine and media website. In early 2017, we started our own event series in Turin, IT focused on arts, experimental, and dancefloor-oriented music. We reject every clumsy invocation to “the Future” meant as the signifier for capitalistic “progress” and “innovation”, fully embracing the Present instead; we renounce any reckless and ultimately arbitrary division between “high” and “low”, respectable and not respectable, “mind” and “body”; we support and invite musicians, artists, and performers having diverse backgrounds and expressing themselves via variegated artistic practices.
